Apple has never been first — it’s been right. And this year, at WWDC 2025, the company doubled down on what it does best: taking emerging technology and turning it into intuitive, polished experiences. From a smarter Siri to AI-assisted workflows in Notes, Mail, and even Final Cut Pro, Apple is now fully stepping into the generative AI space—but doing it the Apple way: curated, private, and quietly radical.
“It’s not about flashy demos. It’s about trust and timing,” said Tim Cook, addressing a crowd of developers and media at Apple Park. “And now is the time.”
What’s new (and what matters):
- iOS 19 introduces “Smart Assist,” an AI layer integrated across system apps — summarizing articles, rewriting messages, and organizing photos automatically.
- Siri gets a real upgrade — finally contextual, memory-based, and able to interact across apps (think ChatGPT, but inside your phone natively).
- Vision Pro 2 blends AI-enhanced visuals with spatial computing — including gesture-based note-taking and “scene memory” that learns your work habits.
- MacOS Sequoia brings native AI tools into creative workflows: editing suggestions, script drafting, and real-time voice-to-text editing in Final Cut and Logic Pro.
